Equine Adoption Network was created to help horse rescue facilities find homes for their horses. We are paying all costs involved to host, maintain and promote this website. It is 100% free and is only for all nonprofit horse rescue facilities. The horse rescue facility must be a 501(c)3 or have a pending 501(c)3 to list.
GFASThe Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries is now available to help horse rescue/sanctuaries attain the status of GFAS Accreditation. To achieve accreditation, an equine sanctuary/rescue facility not only must have the highest standards of equine care, but also must meet rigorous standards in the areas of governance, finance, guidelines, education and outreach, staffing, physical facilities, security/safety, and in the veterinary medical program. This is a relatively new program, so look for increasing numbers of equine sanctuaries and rescues to carry this seal on their website and on their listing on this website.
